Registration Information

Dojo Training

Our Dojo is a private school dedicated to serious practice, where students can study a clearly defined curriculum of sword, staff and body arts, with a view to developing both the body and mind. Membership application is open to all.
Enrolment in the Dojo is regarded as a serious commitment.

How to Register

Interested individuals are kindly requested to send a letter of introduction for consideration by e-mail. This should include a brief personal background and state the reason for wishing to join the Dojo.
The Dojo has three beginner intakes each year, in early February, June and October, and holds an open demonstration for each. These enable prospective students to view the training method first-hand and ask any questions prior to completion of the necessary registration paperwork, equipment ordering and payment processing.
There is no possibility to join the Dojo outside of these scheduled dates.

Points to Note

Training is only open to registered members and there is no "mat fee" system to accommodate people wishing to attend on an ad-hoc basis.
All instruction is individual as class size is kept deliberately small to ensure maximum contact with the instructor. We do not currently accept applications from persons below the age of 18. The physical and mental aspects of the training method make it unsuitable for individuals below that age.
